Thank you all who commented on the Imagine Buckeye 2040 General Plan during the 60 day review period, your input is valuable. Although this review period has ended, there is still a chance for you to participate as part of the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council hearings in February and March of 2018. The final dates, times and locations will be posted here so please check back.
Thank you to all who came to the Open House held on Saturday, September 30 at the Buckeye Public Library, Coyote Branch. Over 140 participants attended the event throughout the day to learn about the General Plan Update and provide input. The full results of the input will be posted online shortly.
The 60-day review period for the Draft General Plan will begin later this month. At that time, the Public Draft Plan will be made available online for additional comments.
On August 31st, Mayor Jackie Meck hosted a meeting at Festival Ranch to brief residents on the latest happenings at City Hall. The meeting was attended by over 200 residents. City Planning staff were on hand and set up a booth to provide information on the Imagine Buckeye 2040 General Plan Update. Thank you to all who stopped by the Imagine Buckeye 2040 booth. The draft General is expected to be completed in late Fall of 2017.
The City has been hard at work getting the word out on the City’s General Plan Update. To date, the City has made over 80,000 contacts through workshops, emails, Facebook and other venues to gain input from city residents and stakeholders. To learn more, click here or on the image below.
